ملخص البحث
يهدف هذا البحث إلى إبراز الجهود العلمية والمنهجية التي قدّمها الإمام الشافعي في تثبيت حجية السنة النبوية والرد على الاتجاهات التي أنكرتها في القرن الثاني الهجري، وهو عصر شهد بدايات الانحراف عن السنة وظهور نزعات عقلانية متطرفة. اعتمد البحث منهجاً تحليلياً استقرائياً من خلال تتبّع نصوص الشافعي في كتبه الأصولية الكبرى، مثل الرسالة والأم واختلاف الحديث، وما نقله عنه المحدّثون. وتناول البحث محاور رئيسة أبرزها: تحليل البيئة الفكرية التي أسهمت في ظهور شبهات منكري السنة، وبيان منهج الشافعي في إثبات حجيتها من القرآن عبر تقسيمه للبيان وتفسيره للحكمة واستدلاله بآيات الطاعة، وتثبيت حجية خبر الواحد بالأدلة الشرعية والعقلية، وبيان إجماع السلف على العمل به، إضافة إلى ردوده على القرآنيين الأوائل والمعتزلة وأهل الرأي، ووضعه القواعد الأصولية لدفع التعارض الموهوم بين الأحاديث، مثل الجمع والنسخ والترجيح. وتوصل البحث إلى أن الشافعي أسّس مشروعاً علمياً لحماية السنة، وأن حجيتها ثابتة بالقرآن، وأن ردّ خبر الواحد يؤدي إلى تعطيل كثير من الأحكام، وأن منهجه في معالجة التعارض أصبح أساساً لعلم مختلف الحديث. كما بيّن أن الشبهات المعاصرة حول السنة ليست جديدة، بل هي تكرار لشبهات قديمة ردّ عليها الشافعي بوضوح. ويوصي البحث بإحياء منهجه في تدريس أصول الفقه لما يمثله من تأسيس علمي رصين يحفظ للسنة مكانتها التشريعية.

Abstract
This study aims to highlight the scholarly and methodological efforts of Imam alShafi’i in establishing the authoritative status of the Prophetic Sunnah and refuting the intellectual trends that denied it during the second Islamic century-a period marked by the early emergence of deviations from the Sunnah and the rise of extreme rationalist tendencies. The research adopts an analytical–inductive approach by tracing alShafi’i’s arguments across his major foundational works, such as alRisalah, alUmm, and Ikhtilaf alHadith, in addition to the reports transmitted by hadith scholars. The study examines several key themes, including an analysis of the intellectual environment that contributed to the rise of doubts about the Sunnah; alShafi’i’s method of affirming its authority through the Qur’an by classifying types of prophetic explanation, interpreting the concept of Hikmah, and citing verses commanding obedience to the Prophet; his establishment of the authority of solitary reports (khabar alwahid) through both textual and rational proofs; and his demonstration of the consensus of early scholars on acting upon them. The research also explores his refutations of early Quranists, Mu‘tazilites, and Ahl alRa’y, as well as his formulation of foundational principles for resolving perceived contradictions between hadiths, such as reconciliation, abrogation, and preference. The study concludes that alShafi’i laid the foundations of a comprehensive scholarly project to safeguard the Sunnah; that its authority is firmly grounded in the Qur’an; that rejecting solitary reports would lead to the suspension of numerous legal rulings; and that his approach to resolving hadith contradictions became the basis for the later discipline of Mukhtalif alHadith. The research further demonstrates that contemporary objections to the Sunnah are not new but rather a repetition of earlier doubts that alShafi’i had already addressed with clarity. It recommends reviving his methodological framework in teaching usul alfiqh, given its robust scholarly foundations that preserve the Sunnah’s legislative status.
