ملخص البحث
يتناول هذا البحث جهود الإمام الشافعي في تعظيم السنة النبوية وتقرير حجيتها في التشريع الإسلامي، حيث يعد من أبرز الأئمة الذين أسهموا في ترسيخ مكانة السنة والدفاع عنها في مواجهة من أنكرها أو شكك في حجيتها. ويهدف البحث إلى بيان الأسس العلمية التي اعتمدها الإمام الشافعي في إثبات حجية السنة، من خلال تحليل نصوصه وأقواله، ولا سيما في كتابه الرسالة. وقد اعتمد البحث على المنهج التحليلي والاستقرائي، من خلال تتبع أقوال الإمام الشافعي واستقراء أدلته من القرآن الكريم والسنة النبوية، إضافة إلى عرض أبرز شبهات منكري السنة والرد عليها وفق منهجه. كما تناول البحث علاقة السنة بالقرآن من حيث البيان والتخصيص والتقييد، وبين مكانة السنة في التشريع الإسلامي عند الإمام الشافعي. وتوصل البحث إلى أن الإمام الشافعي كان له دور محوري في تأصيل علم أصول الفقه، وفي تثبيت حجية السنة النبوية باعتبارها مصدراً مستقلاً للتشريع، وأن منهجه العلمي أسهم في حماية السنة من الطعن والتشكيك، مما جعله بحق ناصر السنة وإماماً في الدفاع عنها.

Abstract
This study examines the efforts of Imam Al-Shafi’i in emphasizing the significance of the prophetic Sunnah and establishing its authority as a fundamental source of Islamic Legislation.Imam Al-Shafi’i is regarded as one of the most influential scholars who firmly defended the Sunnah against those who denied or questioned its authenticity and authority. The research aims to highlight the methodological foundations employed by Imam Al-Shafi,i in proving the authority of the Sunnah through an analytical and inductive approach.This is achieved by examining his statements and evidences، particularly in his renowned work Al-Risalah.The study also explores the relationship between the Qur’an and the Sunnah in terms of clarification specification and restriction. Furthermore، the research discusses the arguments of those who denied the Sunnah and presents Imam Al-Shafi‘i’s responses to them. The study concludes that Imam Al-Shafi‘i played a pivotal role in the development of the principles of Islamic jurisprudence (Usul al-Fiqh) and in firmly establishing the Sunnah as an independent and authoritative source of legislation. His scholarly contributions significantly strengthened the status of the Sunnah and protected it from criticism and denial.
