Abstract
This research addresses the concept of fear in the Qur’anic context by presenting its linguistic and terminological foundations, its patterns and meanings in the Qur’anic context, and examples from the fear of the prophets (peace be upon them), It uses a descriptive analytical method supported by a semantic approach and is organized into two sections: the first on the linguistic and Qur’anic foundation of fear, and the second on models of fear among the prophets, especially Abraham, Zechariah, and Moses (peace be upon them). The results show that fear in the Qur’an is a graded concept that does not conflict with the status of the prophets, but rather reveals a controlled human dimension, plays an educational role in building faith, and highlights the balance between their human nature and the perfection of their reliance on God, with fear always linked to security.
