الحمد لله والصلاة والسلام على نبينا محمد وعلى آله وصحبه ومن والاه. أما بعد:
فقد اشتمل هذا البحث على دراسة وتحقيق رسالة في العقل ألَّفها الإمام محمد بن محمد بن علي، شمس الدين بن أبي اللطف الحصكفي رحمه الله المتوفى سنة 928هـ، وقد أورد فيها الأقوال في النفس الإنسانية، ثم تعلق هذه النفس بالعقل، ثم بيان العقل ما هو؟ وحقيقته وكيفية عمله وإدراكه، وأبرز عيوبه ومنغصاته. ثم ذكر ما يوجد من التعقل عند سائر المخلوقات غير الإنسان.
وقد جاء هذا البحث بعد المقدمة في مبحثين: المبحث الأول عرَّفت فيه بالمؤلف. والمبحث الثاني عرضت فيه النص المحقق كما تقتضيه ضوابط التحقيق العلمية.

This research included a study and investigation of A Message Of The Mind, written by Imam Mohamed bin Mohamed bin Ali, Shams al-Din bin Abi al-Lutf al-Hasakfi, Allah mercy of who died in 928 AH, It includes statements about the human soul, the relationship of this soul to the mind, an explanation of what the mind is, its reality, how it works and perceives, and its most prominent flaws and shortcomings. Then it mentions what intellect exists in all creatures other than humans.
This research, following the introduction, is divided into two sections: The first introduces the author. The second presents the verified text according to the scientific verification criteria
